Cranston Residential Internet Coverage

As the third largest city in Rhode Island, Cranston is a major commercial and residential hub of this state. Whether you're interested in business or home internet, you have options in this area.

Those looking for high speeds and reliability are often interested in fiber internet. This service is offered by Verizon Fios, which brings coverage to all of Cranston. Service reaches Dyer Avenue in the north, New London Avenue in the south, Scituate Avenue in the west, and Broad Street in the east.

Another provider with a widespread service area is Cox Communications. Like Verizon Fios, Cox Communications offers consistent coverage to the entire city of Cranston.

With service tending to most of Rhode Island, Earthlink is a popular choice for those living in Cranston and those living on the outskirts of the city.

Those looking for fiber can explore the options available through Lightower Fiber Networks. This ISP is located primarily in central and eastern Cranston, with service stopping just short of Seven Mile Road in the west.

Broadview Networks also has network that focuses on eastern Cranston. This ISP serves neighborhoods near Thornton, Meshanticut, Garden City, and Park Avenue.

I've had Verizon Fios for several years and have never had an issue with the internet. I stream movies on several devices (sometimes simultaneously) and never notice a slow down. The price could always be better. But if you don't mind calling and haggling when your contract is up, you can usually prevent the price from going up....as long as you get to a good customer service rep.

It's definitely fast! The bundle pricing stuff drives me a little nuts. We tried to save some money by cancelling the bundle and just keeping internet but the difference in price was minimal so we just kept it all. Customer service is always hit or miss, although my last couple of calls have been really good.
